I’ve got to say, I’m really proud of my little community here in Rochester, NY. I’ve been watching in real time my friends, neighbors, and friends-of-friends finding ways to make sure that people are being taken care of. And to be honest, it’s the folks who probably have fewest rolls of TP making sure that no one goes without. They’re using their community organizing skills to check on folks who are immune compromised, working on plans to keep kids fed when the schools close (no official word of that yet, the universities have switched to distance learning over the last day or so)

And most importantly, even when they are facing lost wages and all sorts of uncertainty, they are working together to hold us together- from behind tens of tiny screens… When we give, we will have more than enough.

Sleep tight folks.
